Kemp Library During Fall 2020

This page will be updated with all relevant information related to ESU Kemp Library's current operations during the University's response to the current health crisis. Please check this page frequently for changes.

Kemp Library has been working to purchase print versions of many required and recommended textbooks to put on reserve for our students who are unable to purchase their own,  but we have come up against many challenges to try and provide e-textbooks to our students.

The following major publishers will not allow us to purchase an e-textbook version of their publications:

  • Pearson
  • Cengage
  • McGraw Hill
  • Oxford University Press

Other types of books that are difficult or impossible for the library to get in electronic format include:

  •  health sciences texts
  •  popular fiction

If you are a faculty member who is using a Pearson textbook, you can get in contact with Joe Knorr at the Bookstore to adopt the the digital version of their text through Vital Source.
