APA Publication Manual

The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association has been around in some version since 1929. The Manual sets out the format for writing and citing of research. According to the APA web site "The rules of APA Style®, detailed in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, offer sound guidance for writing with simplicity, power, and concision. APA Style has been adapted by many disciplines and is used by writers around the world."

The library has a copy of the APA Manual on permanent reserve at the Circulation Desk and we keep another copy at the Ready Reference Desk.

While earlier editions of the manual may be helpful you will want to consult the most recent edition for the most accurate and up-to-date information
